EDMONTON- Highly ranked spanish officials met in Edmonton yesterday. In addition to the ten coaches, commissioner Adam Zapple, and Zapple's most senior assistants, former commissioner Richie Paris was present during the debate. After a long day of reasoning, buzzoffs were declared the alternative to ties this year with voting 17-16. A buzzoff will be a best of three matchup betweeen the pre-selected. Buzzoffs could have been used in the playoffs last year in the event of a tie and are not new to the Executive Spanish Comittee. Hopefully this new rule will make the rare tie not count against teams.
